Call for Demos

AICS 2009 will host a special session demonstrating state-of-the-art implementations in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science and Advanced Computing in conjunction with its usual poster session. The aim is to provide a showcase for research, illustrating the potentials of current research, and making the research accessible to the public, industry, and other researchers.

SCOPE

We invite submissions describing state-of-the-art implementations in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science and Advanced Computing. Submissions will be evaluated on the novelty, interactivity, technical content, and public appeal of the implemented software.

Successful submissions will be allocated space for the demonstration during the the showcase, and will be given up to two pages in the proceedings to describe the software. At least one developer must attend the showcase, to present the demonstration.

Instructions to authors

Submissions are due by August 3rd, by email to aics@ucd.ie and must consist of:

1. Title, names of developers, and affiliations, with up to one page of text describing the implemented system (in Springer LNCS format: http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html

2. A list of hardware, software and other requirements, including space and power, with a clear statement of what must be provided by the AICS organisers, and what will be brought along by the demonstrators (note: AICS cannot provide computers);

3. Any associated images from the system in action, or a URL linking to images, videos or live demos.
