The 20th Irish Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science was hosted by the School of Computer Science and Informatics in University College Dublin on the 19th-21st August 2009. The conference took place in the School of Computer Science and Informatics in University College Dublin's Belfield Campus. The AICS Conference is Ireland’s primary meeting for those involved in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science. The conference has taken place annually since 1988 and provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and the presentation of research conducted both in Ireland and worldwide. We are delighted to announce that the proceedings of AICS 2009 have been published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science/Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence, vol. 6206. The proceedings may be accessed online here.
The best paper award was selected by the programme committee and was awarded to Frank Glavin and Michael Madden of NUI, Galway for their paper "Analysis of the Effect of Unexpected Outliers in the Classification of Spectroscopy Data".
